At Consumer Direct Michigan, we value the strengths and abilities of each person and believe self-involvement in the direction of one’s own care contributes to a more stable health condition and builds a healthier and happier community.
If you receive home and community-based services and supports through one of Michigan’s Community Mental Health services programs, or one of the Area Agencies on Aging, talk to us about how we can provide fiscal intermediary services for you or your family member. We can also provide in-home supports if you have private insurance or self-pay.
We take care of the paperwork. We facilitate a background check on prospective caregivers and assist you in enrolling that caregiver. We process your caregiver’s paycheck, withhold appropriate state and federal taxes, and provide workers’ compensation insurance for them. We make it possible for you to be the managing employer so you can remain independent in your home.
